Advice

Legislative changes

The ‘accountants exemption’, under which we as accountants were authorised to give general advice, is no longer in place since 30 June 2016.

From July 1 2016, advisors must have a limited Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) to provide advice in superannuation. We do not have an AFSL and therefore do not provide any investment advice. This includes advice on setting up an SMSF.

If a prospective or current Trustee want advice to decide if an SMSF is right for them or planning aspects in an SMSF, you can contact a Financial Advisor.
